What is moissanite?
Moissanite is a gemstone originally discovered in a meteorite crater in Canyon Diablo, Arizona. It was originally mistaken as a high grade of diamond until 9 years later when it was officially named after it's discoverer, Henri Moissan. Today, moissanite is renowned for its shine and durability, and thanks to recent technological advancements, we can create it in laboratories which makes it a popular and affordable alternative to diamonds.

Moissanite and diamonds both share very similar characteristics. Diamonds weigh 7% more and are 5% harder. Moiss offers a higher refractive index and greater light dispersion giving it more shine than diamonds.
